Walking in the dark

As a child I was afraid of the dark. So much so that I would let my little sister sleep with me so 'she' wasn't scared. Honestly, I still ain't too keen on it. The things that go bump in the night mess with my head too much. Change kinda feels like waking in the dark. You have no clue what's going to happen or what's around the next corner. Sometimes you just gotta put your blinders (or throw the blanket over your head) and keep going. Just like we trust that spring will come after winter, we have to trust that we will be guided through the darkness and into the light.
