Love is an action word!

I told y'all that my pastor don’t miss and today was no different. As he continues his “Waiting to Excel” series, he focused specifically on excellence in serving and reminded us how Jesus washed the disciples’ feet as an act of service and as a reminder that there’s no service that is beneath us.

Our willingness to serve is an act of love.

This is where it hit me…

Love is an action word…it’s a verb…LOVE is something you do! He broke down to the simplest form, you can’t love God or anyone else if you aren’t willing to serve them! I know this! I knew this! I have been made to feel like believing this was insane so this was more about confirmation that anything else. This word hit different because I received it and processed it through the lens of what I desire to be excellence in.

In relationships, friendships, and partnerships if you love someone, then you must be willing to serve them.

Serving the people you love isn’t laborious it’s literally love in action.

Watch today's sermon yourself and share your thoughts! Oh and the praise team came with it today!

I cried the whole service because God sent me yet another reminder that the love that I have and the love that I give are in alignment with his great commission that we love one another as we love ourselves. That’s the principle that I live by and it continues to drive my life’s journey. The way I love my children and the way that I am working on loving myself must be rooted in action!

My worship is so personal. Prayers that I prayed nearly 15 years ago are coming into fruition. I have not enjoyed every phase of this journey but I do appreciate it for what it has given me. Over the course of my life, I feel like I have given more love than I have received. My goal is to give myself a larger portion than I have in the past.

I love y'all! I really do simply because you are worthy of love!

Love,

MichelleRena
