Self Care is doing what me makes feel good…daily!

Sunday is for self-care (at least for me it is)!

Sometimes self-care looks like being alone with your thoughts or in the bed! Other times it looks like a warm bath with candles and bath oils. This month for me it looks like buying myself a new wardrobe and starting fresh!


As I move into this “feeling myself” phase of life (I love it here BTW)…I am finding that it is less about how you look and 100% about how you feel about yourself! I feel good on the inside and outside and it shows.


It’s so funny that people notice when you’re happy but sometimes don’t notice when you’re sad. That’s another post for another day. What’s makes me most happy these days is the fact that I’m free. I’ve talked about it before and it still remains.

Being free allows me to focus more on the things that make me happy and feel good and less on things that activate my anxiety or rely heavily on the opinions of others. My freedom is the key that unlocked my happiness. I’m happy with me and now I’m fully free to live and be me unapologetically.


Things that I do daily that make me feel good:

*riding my bike

*drinking my water and staying hydrated

*daily meditations

*positive self talk

*surrounding myself with honest and transparent people

*being a light and loving on folks

*literally going up and down my timeline hyping up Dope Black Women

*loving on my hubby and daughters

*speaking life into my girlfriends


I have finally found the recipe for me. It took years to get it just right and I’m learning to continue tweaking it to my liking.
