If there is one thing that I have learned from living in the Muck...it is that teachers are serious about their calling. In the six years that I have lived in South Florida, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the most innovative educators in my career. These educators have helped me to develop an even greater love for educating our youth. That brings us to this next boss...Miss Jamie Evans. Jamie is an innovative educator and the CEO of Destination Success Academy!
Born and raised in Belle Glade, FL, Jamie is the daughter of a retired educator. The importance of education was ingrained in her since birth and it was only fitting that she pursue a career in education. Destination Success Academy was birthed from the desire to continue building individual student confidence and self-worth by providing an individual learning experience. Every student that Jamie encounters has an opportunity to discover their own strengths and talents while overcoming any potential obstacles. Students feel like superstars once they leave her tutorial sessions.
The Covid-19 pandemic may have slowed her down but it hasn't stopped the grind. She has shifted from small group sessions to now servicing students in a one on one capacity and adding in virtual tutoring as well.
