Happy Kwanzaa Day 5 Nia (Purpose)

Today we focus on the fifth principle Nia which means purpose in Swahili. Imagine setting intentions and goals that focus on ways that you can build and grow yourself AND your community. That is the basis of today’s principle, Nia.

Understanding that there is a purpose greater than one’s self helps us to establish a stronger sense of community. I am a firm believer that we each have purpose. By operating in our purpose and focusing on ways to enrich our community as a whole we are able to further enrich our community.
